I agree. Religious ideas aside, we still feel that attachment to the history, and the tender feelings of the past in these things. I have a tiny old one from the 1850's with my great great etc.. relatives name in it.

pues, me gusta muuucho la foto esta rebonita tomada, y la luz de la parte izquierda le da un touch, que saes que esta en unmuseo, en una parte vieja...porque las ventanas eran un must ya que no habia luz artificial.

Awww, that is really nice! What do your daughters think about it? Are they also very sensitive to that? We do not have really anything with such much history... some years ago our grandparents found some photos from the turn of the century, but that was it!

la inscripcion, yo estimo que es de 1906... porque no creo que sea de 1806... aunque, sinceramente.. no me fije.. la gold rush fue en 187pico... creo, asi que deberia ser de 1906! Aun asi.. casi 100 anios!

antes - en los 90s - me imaginaba y me ponia a pensar si se sentiria raro poner en las fechas de anios... 01 o 02, etc.. pues estaba acostumbrado a poner 86, 94, etc.... y antes solo relacionaba 01, 05, etc.. a hace TANTO tiempo.. pero.. da risa, no es nada raro! en 80 anios, mas de alguien dira al ver nuestros 03, 05.. puchica, hace tanto! y que raro! y el circulo empezara de nuevo!

I'm sure they'll appreciate it at some point. I have some neat things.. old white kid leather gloves of my grandmothers... lots of old photos... love that old stuff. It's kind of all packed away now, since we moved. Ah well.

ala, que babosos son esos nacidos en los anios 80's!!!! Y que esperabas que pusieran antes? A mi solo se me hacia, como te habia escrito, que era algo asi como "viejo" cuando uno miraba 04, 05, etc! y en cambio, 83, 85 era nuevo en ese entonces! Sin embargo... ahora inclusive haber nacido en el 86 no es como que muy nuevo!

Por cierto... ahora que me pongo a pensar, vos no habias nacido cuando Boston tuvo la debacle en la World Series del 86! A mi se me hace que te debi haber pedido que le echaras un jinx cuando estabas en la panza de madre!!! Que curioso que el anio que vos naciste, fue el anio que yo me hice fan de los Sox!!! Y pues... toda una vida de sufriemiento (bueno, para mi), hasta que llego NZ, 2004!!!! (y ver el juego en ese sports bar!! Woo-hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!)
